The original texts of the three Hand Yang meridians in the head, as included in “Jing mai” chapter of “Ling shu”, part of the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon are provided, with the respective arteries associated with each original text listed below. ECA : external carotid artery, FA : facial artery, ILA : inferior labial artery, SLA : superior labial artery, NSbr : nasal septal branch of the superior labial artery, STA : superficial temporal artery, ZOA : zygomatico-orbital artery, AAA : anterior auricular artery, TFA : transverse facial artery, PAA : posterior auricular artery.
