Treatment application site Ashi acupuncture points: points where the patient experiences comfort or pain upon palpation, and they also serve as points for relieving the symptoms. A total of twelve acupuncture points: six points located 2 cun away from the midline in the superior-inferior and medial-lateral directions, and six points located 3 cun away from the ankle joint in the superior-inferior direction. Painful point. Selecting an acupuncture point within approximately 6 to 10 cm from the painful point in various directions for needling.

Treatment procedures Burnt acupuncture: after heating the large needle in fire, it is inserted into the skin, followed by immediate application of moxibustion. Insertion needle: inserting the needle at a 30-degree angle transversely.
Withdrawing the needle: if there is no relief or improvement, re-insert the needle.
Retention of the needle: typically for 30 minutes, or up to 1∼2 hours in severe cases, with a maximum of 48 hours.
Treatment frequency: acute cases usually require once daily, while typical cases are treated 2∼3 times per week.
Insertion needle: inserting the needle at an angle of 45∼60 degrees.
Lifting-thrusting needle: Up to 2∼3 times.
Retention of the needle: 10 minutes.
Treatment frequency: 1∼2 times per week.
Insertion needle: Inserting the needle at a 15∼20 degree angle transversely.
Manipulation of the needle: sweeping (200 rotations in 2 minutes).
Retention of the needle: after removing the needle handle, secure it with adhesive tape for 24∼48 hours.
Treatment frequency: 2 times per week for acute conditions, and 3 or more times per week for chronic conditions.
